Do I need to make the font again on the iPad?

No. Your fonts are in your SnapFont account. Open the app on the iPad and tap Install, or AirDrop the profile from your iPhone.

Will the font work with Apple Pencil apps?

It works in any app that types text. Pen strokes are still pen strokes; the font is for typed text boxes, titles, and templates.

Your handwriting font in iPad

iPad installs fonts through a configuration profile, exactly like iPhone. SnapFont builds the profile; you approve it in Settings, and every app with a font picker sees it.

Install

Make your font in SnapFont (print the sheet, write it, take one photo).
Tap Install. SnapFont builds a font profile; save it to Files and open it.
Settings, General, VPN and Device Management, tap the profile, Install.
Open GoodNotes, Notability, Pages, or Keynote and pick the font.

Procreate

Procreate lists installed fonts, and can also import the TTF directly: Add Text, Edit Style, Import Font.

Good to know

If you make the font on your iPhone, AirDrop the profile or the TTF to the iPad, or open SnapFont on the iPad and install from there.
Split View makes the Files to Procreate drag and drop easy.
