Your handwriting font in Android

Android has no system-wide font install for regular apps, so SnapFont on Android exports the TTF instead. Use it in apps that import font files, or send it to a computer where it installs normally.

Export

  1. Make your font in SnapFont.
  2. Tap Export and choose where the TTF goes: Files, Drive, email to yourself, or straight to another app.

Where it works

  1. A Windows, Mac, or Linux computer: install it and use it in Word, Cricut Design Space, Photoshop, anything.
  2. Canva, with a Pro, Teams, or Education plan: upload it to Brand Kit and it works in the Canva Android app too.
  3. Any Android app with its own font import (some design and photo apps have one).

Good to know

  • Samsung and other launchers sell system fonts through their own stores; they do not accept a TTF you made.
  • Do not trust apps that promise to install any TTF system-wide without root; they change the look of one app at most.

Questions people ask

Can I install my font on Android like on iPhone?
No. iPhone has a font profile system; Android does not. The exported TTF is a standard font file and works everywhere a font file works, just not as a system font on the phone itself.
Can I type in my font in WhatsApp or Instagram on Android?
No. Those apps have no font picker on any platform. Type in an app that does, and share the image.
